Agreement
A project begins only when a written quote or proposal has been accepted and the required initial project payment has been received. A payment made without an agreed quote does not create an open-ended entitlement to unspecified work.
The accepted quote or proposal will define the package, deliverables, pages, functionality, timeline estimate, payment split, and any exclusions.
Payments
Most website projects require an initial project payment of 60% of the agreed project price. The remaining 40% is due before final delivery, launch, file transfer, or handover.
Where payment is made through an online payment link, confirming the quote, terms, and refund policy checkboxes forms part of the acceptance record for that payment.
Work may be paused if payment is overdue. Additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately.
Scope and revisions
The project scope includes only the pages, sections, features, and tasks listed in the accepted quote or proposal. Changes requested after approval may affect cost and timeline.
Unless agreed otherwise, each project includes reasonable revision rounds during the design/build process. Revisions are for refining agreed work, not adding new features or replacing the agreed direction entirely.
Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate business information, content, images, access details, approvals, and feedback needed to complete the project.
If required information or feedback is delayed, the timeline may move. If the client becomes unresponsive for 30 days, the project may be paused or closed. Restarting may require a new quote or additional fee.
Ownership and handover
Final ownership of the completed website files or agreed deliverables transfers to the client only after all outstanding invoices and balances have been paid in full.
Tech Shinobi may retain reusable code patterns, design methods, development knowledge, and general techniques created or used during the project.
Refunds and cancellation
Refunds and cancellation are handled under the Refund Policy. The initial project payment is retained once work has been scheduled or started, except where required by law.
Support
Launch support covers agreed checks and fixes before handover. Ongoing monthly support is available separately and does not include major redesigns, new full pages, third-party fees, or custom integrations unless quoted.
